نبذة عن الفنان About the Artist
الاسم الأهم في بدايات النحت الحلبي، بل يمكن اعتباره من الرواد الأوائل الذين وضعوا الأساس الفعلي لهذا الفن في المدينة. بدأ مسيرته الفنية من خلال الحفر على الخشب، ثم واجه معارضة اجتماعية شديدة بسبب غرابة فن النحت في بيئته. The most important name in the beginnings of Aleppan sculpture, he can be considered one of the early pioneers who laid the actual foundation for this art in the city. He began his artistic career through wood carving, then faced strong social opposition due to the strangeness of sculpture in his environment.
بعد أن أُوفد إلى إيطاليا لدراسة فن النحت ونال دبلوماً فيه، عاد بخبرة أوسع وأسهم في ترسيخ فكرة أن النحت جزء من المشهد الثقافي في حلب. من أبرز أعماله الموثقة: «المفكِّرة»، «الجمال العاري المؤنث»، و«العارية». After being sent to Italy to study sculpture and earning a diploma, he returned with broader experience and contributed to establishing the idea that sculpture is part of Aleppo's cultural scene. Among his most documented works are "The Thinker," "The Feminine Nude Beauty," and "The Nude."
